Instructors

Why we are Instructors:

Our mission is to enable you (learning by actually doing) with our disaster preparation knowledge (that we have gathered and field tested by our life experiences) just as we have shared with our families and friends.

Ken Davis

About Ken:
I am 70 years old and the happy father of six children and fourteen grand-children. I was born and raised in West Virginia. My father was a preacher and my mother a homemaker, both proud results of fourth generation American immigrants. I spent my summers on my grandparents’ farm where I learned many skills that are fundamental to non-technical living (gardening, animal husbandry, canning, hand-tool craftsmanship, outdoor survival, hunting, etc.).

In high school I worked in a lab for Ohio Bell developing the first solar-cells, pursued a B.A. in Theology and History (Arkansas), a Certification in Safety (Ariz.State.U.) post-graduate studies in Psychology/Theology (Eastern New Mexico U.), and an M.As. in Computers. I have been a teacher, construction business owner and computer consultant. I have visited or worked in twenty-one foreign countries.

As an adult, I have lived in Arizona, Wyoming and Colorado primarily in rural areas, until the last nineteen years when I moved into the city to be closer to family.
